Nämä aurinkolasit kuuluivat joskus isotädilleni Selmalle. Muistan Selman hämärästi lapsuudestani. Elävämmin muistan kertomukset, miten Selma asui 1970-luvulla Australiassa. Kotona oli perintönä monta jännittävää esinettä, jotka oli tuotu ulkomailta matkamuistoina.
Nykyisin en ehkä ripustaisi kokonaista krokotiilinnahkaa seinälleni, mutta aurinkolasit ovat ehkä hauskimmat, jotka omistan. Ne peittävät sitä paitsi sopivasti melkein puolet kasvoista. Jopa parhaan ystäväni mielestä näytän älyvapaalta ne päässäni.
Or in other words: These sun glasses are prolly the coolest accessories I own. They used to belong to my mother's aunt Selma, who moved in Australia in the 1970's. In my childhood days the stories about her in Australia were as exiting as the souveniers we inherited after her death. While I'm not quite there yet to keep a crocodile skin on my wall these shades are so hip!
Even though people laugh right out my face & even my best friend think I look ridiculous on them.
